Community Foundation Sonoma County hired csb philanthropic solutions to develop Housing Solutions for Our Community, the third element of its Resilience Fund strategies for rebuilding after the devastating October 2017 wildfires.

Cassandra began by conducting interviews with more than 60 regional, county, and city leaders from the business, government, nonprofit, and philanthropic sectors to identify the barriers and opportunities for increasing the supply of affordable housing in Sonoma County. She merged this local context with best practices in philanthropic investment in affordable housing to develop a framework, criteria, and strategies for the fund. She continues to work with the Foundation to develop and implement its housing strategy, including initiatives to increase public and community will for housing, encourage development of accessory dwelling units, and align specific strategies for increasing housing production.
